Talk to a public procurement expert Shall we talk?

What are the most frequent errors in complex tenders?

Rectification

UF, public tenders ... Sometimes they seem more an obstacle marathon than a business process, right? They tell you that you prepare, that you are meticulous, but still, pum, an error and goodbye to the juicy contract you dream. Look, I tell you the most classic stumbling blocks that companies usually commit when they get into these eggplant.

First, the classic: nobody reads the requirements well. And it is not for laziness (well, sometimes yes), but because the specifications are usually a maze of technicalities and small print. If you do not understand what the tender asks, what do you think, your proposal goes straight to the papers basket. So simple. Not even crying is good.

Then there is the "Oh, I forgot this paper." The amount of documents they ask for scary: legal, financial, technical, the boss's vaccination card ... ok, I exaggerate, but it is a very long list. If you don't have everything armed from before, then you run like a headless chicken and, surprise, you are missing something right in the end.

Another jewel: deliver late. There is no room for the "teacher, can I deliver tomorrow?" If you arrive a minute after the hour (literal, one minute), you were. It's like losing the bus for getting the cell phone out of the pocket.

And well, the presentation of the proposal. There are people who underestimate how important it is that everything looks pro, well written, without rare spelling faults or confusing things. If your proposal seems task done at three in the morning, forget it, give bad image and lower points.

Ah, and the cost-benefit analysis. Many are thrown in the head to the tender just because it sounds like an easy money, but they do not calculate if it really is worth all the work and expense. Sometimes, the prize does not compensate for the circus you have to mount.

The key for not being ridiculous? Prepare as if you were a final exam. Read everything, have your papers ready, do not leave anything for the last minute, make a proposal that even your grandmother understands ... and before starting, you really think if it is worth getting into that mess.

Anyway, public tenders can be the golden ticket, but they can also make you sweat cold. Avoid these basic errors and, believe me, you already have a half -winning career.
