How to apply ethical purchase criteria?

Evaluation Criteria

The ethical purchase in public tenders ... UF, dense issue, but super important. Basically, it is not to make fudge and make sure that public contracts are assigned with a head, without rare charts or favoritisms. Nothing "here I catch you, here I kill you." The whole process is supposed to be fair, of course and, above all, with a little social and environmental awareness (which is already time, right?).

The first step, as in almost everything in life, is to sit down to think before the pool. That is, play reviewing the rules of the game and putting hand to those old hiring policies so that they include things of ethics, responsibility and all those words that sound good but sometimes stay in the paper. Of course, without skipping the law, because neither the European Union nor the WTO are for jokes.

Now, talking about ethical purchase without mentioning corporate social responsibility is like making tortilla without eggs. The idea is to look a little beyond price and quality. That the company respects labor rights? Perfect. What care of the environment? Better yet. What do they bet on inclusion and fair trade? Well, don't even say. It is not just the cheap, but about the right.

And eye, no processes in the shadow. Here transparency is not optional. The criteria must be published, leave everything clear and that no one can say that there was a trap. That encourages everyone to compete decently and, incidentally, people begin to trust a little more in the system (missing).

But of course, it is not enough to put the rules and now. It should be monitored that they are fulfilled, huh? If a company puts the leg and does not follow what is agreed, then that they fall for real sanctions, not those of laughter that neither tickle.

And finally, that training does not lack. Officials and companies, all to learn from ethics and good practices. No excuses "I didn't know." That here, he who does not run, flies.

So, in summary, public ethical purchase is not only beautiful in paper. It is a matter of planning well, focusing on social responsibility, being transparent, monitoring that everything is fulfilled and teach the rock how the thing is going. If it is done well, we all win: more just economy, quality contracts and, hey, even the planet thanks.
