The Directorate-General for Agricultural and Livestock Production is the competent authority for the implementation of health programmes affecting animal health in the fauna, both wild and domestic, of Castile and León. In this regard, the Directorate-General has the responsibility to provide the necessary assistance to the Animal Health Laboratories of Castile and León, as well as the necessary advice in cases of disease, especially with regard to the implementation of the Health Programmes relating to tuberculosis. It also has the responsibility to carry out the necessary studies to advance the health measures to be adopted in the eradication and/or control of animal diseases in this Autonomous Community, and to incorporate into the working mechanism the necessary scientific innovations that result in an improvement of the health status of the herd. This recruitment would thus cover the main objectives of epidemiological advice and studies within the health programmes established in the Autonomous Community in general, as well as more specific objectives relating to tuberculosis eradication and control programmes.
