The need for this work is due to the responsibilities assigned to it by the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Environmental Sustainability within the planning, programming and support of the infrastructure for the treatment of waste and the sealing of landfills. This Directorate-General is responsible for the processing of records of waste collection centres serving a population of more than 5,000, and this is the case.
