The promotion of school co-existence aims, among other things, to ensure that the education system has an adequate climate to promote the learning process of students. Without prejudice to the initiatives currently under way, educational institutions identify situations of harassment and school violence, which require the establishment of specific psychological support programmes focused on these situations, with the aim of strengthening the care of the students involved in such situations, such as victims, aggressors or observers of something that no one can remain impassible, thereby contributing to improving both the individual educational process of the student and the educational system as a whole. In addition, Decree 51 / 2007 of 17 May, which regulates the rights and duties of students and the participation and commitments of families in the educational process, and sets out the rules of coexistence and discipline in the educational centres of Castilla y León, states in article 5. that "all students have the right to receive comprehensive training that contributes to the full development of their personality," a right that implies "an emotional education that will enable them to adequately address interpersonal relations" and "the acquisition of skills, skills and knowledge that will enable them to integrate themselves personally, at work and socially." This is why, in view of the need expressed by educational institutions, it is necessary to assist professionals who, in situations related to school disruption, behavioural problems and emotional difficulties that may arise, provide additional psychological support to the student.
