Talk to a public procurement expert Shall we talk?

How to report a fraudulent tender?

Basic Concepts

Do you want to report a fraudulent tender? UF, it is not an easy task, but someone has to do it. If you see that there is a cat locked in a public tender - you know, rare favoritisms, documents that do not add up or chuecas things - well, nor way, it is time to put the batteries.

First of all, gather tests. And I don't talk about gossip, huh. You need concrete things: documents, emails, screenshots, some witness who wants to speak ... whatever shows that there was a trap or love. All sum. Do not file without ammunition, because if not, they will not peel you.

Then, who are you going to sing the shot? It depends on the country, but there is almost always a public hiring office (General Directorate of Public Contracts, National Contracting Office, or as they call it in your corner of the world). If not, the Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the Office of Ethics or even the Ombudsman. The joke is not to stay with your arms crossed.

The complaint has to be formal, with all of the law. Nothing "I heard out there ..."; Be specific, tell your point version by point and attach everything you have of evidence. Writing a good story here helps a lot, because the clearer explain fraud, easier for you to pay attention to you.

And you know what? If you can, look for a lawyer. Someone who knows public tenders and contracting laws in your country. He is going to save headaches and can guide you so you don't get in unintentionally.

Of course, prepare for the roller coaster. These processes are usually slow and there is not always a happy ending. But, honestly, if nobody denounces, corruption is still a campaign. So, you have to endure.

Do not forget to put keywords if you want your complaint or your explanation to be easy to find on the Internet: "fraudulent tender", "formal complaint", "public procurement", "transparency", you know. And if you can cite the State Hiring Law, better yet. That gives your case legal weight.

Eye: This can end in legal trouble for those involved, so make sure your accusations are well backed. Better that I get evidence to miss, because there is no room for rookie errors. Ready for the challenge? Go ahead, that transparency is not going to defend itself.
